I am in the early stages of dementia, and when I broke my foot and had to go to the hospital, I was both in pain and in an increased state of confusion. I spent six weeks in the hospital and then I was admitted to Washington Center. If anything, I was more confused than ever. I had difficulty walking, and no strength, endurance, or balance. I felt like everything was broken. But the Washington Center team was wonderful—patient, understanding, and professional. I actually enjoyed the therapy! The stronger I got, the less confused I was. The team repaired my broken bones and my broken spirit. I’m back home now, living with my son. I’ll definitely recommend Washington Center to anyone in need of rehab!

I was really tired and had no energy at all. I was wobbly when walking and didn't have any strength. My doctor said I had AFib—poor blood flow to my heart—and recommended rehab. Thank goodness I was admitted to Washington Center. The staff is wonderful, they work hard and they were always there when I needed them. The therapy was excellent. I called the therapists my little angels—they are so warm, making everyone feel good. Even my daughter—a tough critic—says they did a wonderful job. I would recommend Washington Center to any of my family and friends who need rehab!

I had emergency surgery for an intestinal blockage. When I was discharged from the hospital, I couldn’t walk and I was very weak. The Washington Center staff was very nice and settled me in. My therapy went very well, thanks to my therapists Bri (OT) and Christine (PT). They are the sweetest ladies and were always very encouraging. One day, I ventured to the activities room to listen to some music from a singer that came in which was a nice change of scenery. My wife and I enjoyed sitting outside in the garden area when she visited. The administration was great and met my needs. I am now able to walk with my walker, go up and down a few stairs. I give all the credit for my success to the rehab staff, and would recommend Washington Center to anyone who needs short term rehab to get them stronger.

At my age, falling down never ends well. When I slipped last year, I completely shattered one of the bones in my leg. I had to wear a brace that kept my knee immobile, and I was in a tremendous amount of pain. My mobility was so poor, I didn’t even try walking. But once I came to Washington Center for rehab, I got a fresh start. I was very pleased with the care and treatment I received. The rehab staff were so kind and everyone treated me well. Now, after a little more than 3 months at Washington Center, I’m much stronger. I am so grateful to everyone at the facility — they reminded me that even at my age, falling down doesn’t have to be the end.

When I first arrived at Washington Center I had no strength, I couldn't stand up or do anything for myself. I was in sad condition. The staff made me feel welcome, they were nice and talked me through what was going on and listened to me and my concerns. I noticed the cleanliness of the facility which also made me feel comfortable. Even my family commented on how clean the facility was. My Therapy was excellent! They motivated me to do what I had to do. They were very supportive and made me feel good. Christine (PT) and Bri (OT) took their time with me and made me feel human again. Now I'm standing and walking again! The Team made me want to improve and made me want to feel better. Washington Center is the best place I've been for rehab, there is no other facility like it!

Alzheimer’s knocked the wind out of me. I was tired all the time and required an extended processing-time when given instructions. Not only that, but I was also suffering from a heart condition that left me weak and delicate. When I arrived at Washington Center for Rehab, I was welcomed with smiles and warm, caring faces. The facility staff were phenomenal and they provided me with great hands-on therapy. I was regaining the strength I thought was long-lost. After not-near three weeks at Washington Center, I no longer need an oxygen tank – I have recovered my tail-wind! My family was so happy with my care, we would recommend this home for anyone in need of revitalization!

I have liver cirrhosis, which led to complications. To make matters worse, I also developed pneumonia. Although I was stabilized, I was unable to perform basic functions, like walking and getting in and out of bed without help. Fortunately, I was admitted to Washington Center for healing therapy. The staff at the facility were so very kind and encouraging. They helped me strengthen my body and mind. Afterward, I was able to return home with my husband as an independent woman, without need for help or assistance. I am much stronger now and don’t even need an oxygen tank. I would strongly recommend Washington Center to any of my friends and family who may need rehab in the future.

My health had gone from bad to worse. I have a history of alcohol abuse, and then one evening my son found me passed out on the floor. I couldn’t walk or function. Checking into the hospital, I discovered that my organs were breaking down. The hospital may have saved my life, but I needed to learn how to live again. Washington Center came through, giving me everything I needed. The team took care of me—with patience, compassion, and understanding. The therapists created a rehab program specifically designed for me, and it worked. In less than a month I was back home, making it on my own with help from my family and the community. I feel stronger than I’ve been in a long time. The whole experience at Washington Center was a positive one!

I was in extreme pain, had a hard time breathing, and felt weak and dizzy all the time. Life was a struggle. I didn’t know if I’d ever get well again. That changed when I was admitted to Washington Center. Every member of the staff was very nice, pleasant, efficient, and motivating. The therapy was extremely helpful and organized, and the therapists were all very supportive. I especially enjoyed using the Jintronix biofeedback system; it actually makes rehab fun! And the live music in the activities room was great. I can get around much better now. I would recommend Washington Center to anyone who needs rehab!

I can’t begin to tell you how bad things had become. I started having tremors, couldn’t keep my balance, I was weak and in pain. I took so many falls, I lost count. And the stress just made it worse. Going to Washington Center was the turning point. The staff made me comfortable; within days, my anxiety was gone. The therapy, activities and food were all great. The rehab was special. I was there for just three weeks, and I am much stronger now. I can do things around the house without fear. Thank you, Washington Center team!

I had an infection in my back and was very weak. The doctors recommended that I go to short-term rehab. Making the decision to go to Washington Center was the right one. I was greeted with a smile. Everyone was gracious and helpful. My rehab therapists were excellent: Christine (PT), Bri (OT), and Becca (OT). My nursing care was excellent, as well: Jeanine (RN Unit Manager), and all the LPN’s and CNA’s that cared for me. The administration has been very receptive to my concerns. People care here! My experience here was fantastic and everyone was a pleasure to be with. If I ever need rehab again, this will be the place I will choose. I would recommend Washington Center to anyone needing to get their strength and life back.

I came from the hospital quite sick. I have trouble remembering. The staff at Washington Center were wonderful, there were a lot of good people there! The kitchen staff were very accommodating and adjusted my meals as requested. The Rehab staff were also very good, My Physical Therapist, Christine, made a big contribution to my success, and I am now able to move around better. Washington Center is a good place to go if you need to get better and stronger!

A fracture of my right hip caused me much distress. Not only couldn’t I walk, I wasn’t even able to sit properly and my posture was impaired. My condition, coupled with an inflamed gallbladder, made life hard to manage and navigate. That all changed when I came to Washington Center for rehab. The staff were so welcoming and made me feel comfortable. The therapy was so good, my family was impressed with what I had accomplished. The team here made me come out of my shell and encouraged me to do things I didn’t think I could do. Now, I can walk with only some assistance and can even climb up and down stairs. I would recommend Washington Center to any of my family or friends. Today I am stronger and my life is bright and enjoyable.

When I was discharged from the hospital, I had zero energy and I was getting weaker and weaker. It got to the point where I couldn’t even get out of bed. My doctor recommended that I get rehab at Washington Center—and it was just what the doctor ordered! The therapy team was terrific, and I started to feel stronger at the very first session. They knew exactly what I needed and they did amazing work. I walked out of Washington Center, back on my feet, in ten days! I have to add that the food is really good—better than what I have at home. So a big thanks to everyone at Washington Center—with a special shout-out to the therapists and the kitchen staff!

When I first arrived at Washington Center my toes were curled up and I was bent over when standing because of the pain in my knees. The staff here did a great job and they allowed me to make adjustments as needed. I am shocked at how well this place runs. Great food and great service! My family is so happy that I am not in pain anymore. The rehab staff are seriously great, especially Peter my PT. I can walk alone now with my walker. I would highly recommend Washington Center to my friends and family or anyone who needs to get stronger. Thank you Washington Center!

Having a stroke really did me in. Standing and walking were extraordinarily difficult and the left side of my body suffered from impaired coordination. I required a mechanical lift for all basic tasks and functions and I had lost my independence and dignity. Thankfully, I was admitted to Washington Center and my future looked brighter. The staff were very attentive to my every need and made sure to often ask if I wanted anything. Peter, my PT, was a big contribution to my success. He was very warm and caring, always encouraging me to work harder. Washington Center has given me back my dignity. My family also was very happy with the experience. I can get around on my own now, with better mobility and increased strength. I would strongly recommend this facility to a friend or family who needs rehab.
